 What started as one mobile home parked under an apple tree in 1950,
has grown into one of the largest Manufactured Housing Retailers in the
Midwest. Elsea, Inc. was started in 1950 by Robert and Maxine Elsea.
They allowed a local construction worker to park his manufactured home
on their farm, and the rest they say...is history. Over 50 years of
history.
Today, Elsea, Inc. has 9 sales centers, six manufactured home
communities, a finance company, a renovation department
and an insurance agency. It is a wide diversity that has allowed
the company to grow to over 70 employees, and multiple locations
throughout central and southern Ohio.
It was during the 1990's that Elsea, Inc. saw its largest growth
now serving over 2,000 customers. With
the opening of the new sales centers and new manufactured housing
communities, Elsea Inc moved to the forefront in the manufactured
housing industry. A steady growth pattern has given Elsea the stability
to last in an ever changing and volatile industry. The company has
worked closely with the Ohio Manufactured Homes Association (OMHA) on
issues affecting the industry. It is with this strong dedication to the
betterment of the manufactured housing industry, that Elsea Inc. is a
leader in the marketplace.
 Today, the company is under the direction of President/CEO Asa J. Elsea,
the son of Robert and Maxine. He began in the family business in 1963
and has been running the company since 1980. Under the direction of
"Ace", the company has seen its largest growth.
